I have a 7.3 96 with e fuel..do you think its ok to use this? I saw a video where dude said dont run black diesel in 95 and later
Your front cable from the pedal should have a threaded rod on it with two nuts. The front cable goes into one end of an adjuster bracket(similar to the one used to connect all three cables at the center rear of the chassis), with one nut securing the bracket to the front cable. The intermediate cable attaches to the adjuster bracket in the same manner as the left parking cable attaches to the same style of bracket where all three cables are joined. The purpose of the adjuster bracket under the driver side rocker is to provide enough slack in the assembly to join the intermediate and front cables manually(without the cable strap and vice grip technique), and by tightening the adjuster on the threaded rod, the slack in the cable can be taken up. The second nut on the threaded rod is a lock nut to keep the adjuster from loosening. So, for this job, you need two adjuster brackets, and one cable joiner bracket. Otherwise, good job and thank you very much for posting this video. Now I can do the same for my 1995 Buick riviera.
I want to see a full video how you make it because I got a 6.0 diesel truck I like to try this
Can you tell me how to replace my tensioner on a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek with a 2.0 Liter engine?
Let me get one please i promise i use the black out of it
Question: What type of CAT did you put on there? I have an 04 Century and it would be cheaper and easier for me to cut and weld rather than trying to undo the flanges. I'm currently looking at Universal Federal Catalytic Converter 53104.
I've seen some idiotic engineering in my time working on cars, but this sets the bar for stupidity. This should be a Three Stooges episode..
Rather than splice the wires, I used an adapter made by Casper Electronics in Coloradeo. "GM Fuel Pump adapter". However, the new fuel pump came with a warning that you should do the splice anyway because as a fuel pump goes bad, it often damages the original square connector.
The hardest part for me what lifting the pump out. The diameter seems to be the exact same as the hole or event a little bigger after swelling? and super hard to line up. you did a nice twist and level lift. I could never do that and have changed 3 of these. I finally took a utility knife and shaved plastic off the hole to make the hole a little bigger. Worked but got a few scraps in the tank. worked okay though. They are too big to make it through the sock or holes.
You did a great job.could a bad starter make my engine
Would flux core work just as well? I really want to invest in a welder to get me out of tight spots like this.
I have a 366 nissan diezel will it work for may truck it runs on all kinds of fuel no problem.lamp oil .diezel or biodiezel
anyone know if black diesel on my 2011 F350 6.7 Powerstroke ?
It kind of sounded like it started before you shut it off
I got to do my buds
You might have to invest in a WVO centrifuge to more efficiently remove the soot, debrit, water from the oil if the failure is due to the waste oil, get the optional heater if you do. Keep up the good work, I will be watching and subscribing and look forward to your progress.
I think it needed a new battery and some clean terminals
Awesome video
Approx how much coolant is actually drained? Is it the whole system? Just wondering how many liters I'll need to buy.
Get a lift pump, filter down before adding it to the tank. Can get a centerfuge to spin water out th oil also
Good video your wrench wich company name please
This is a cool series I have been following. I really think cutting with diesel instead of gasoline will help a lot. Any chance of doing that?
Great video, you need to drain the engine oil first or you can do it without removing it thanks 🙏🏻
great video

I run my oil through 2-1 micron filter bags then let it settle for a month or so. '95 7.3 with 325,000. Running strong
Great to hear! What mixture are you running?
Would there be a way to remove the the soot or dirt thats in the waste motor oil? or would it be a component of thee oil that diesel fuel doesnt have? Like would motor oil use sulfur and not the diesel fuel? (im using that as an example because ibdont know fuel chemistry but reverse engineering fuel is a good start imo) And learning how to utilize certain processes to "refine" the mixture may come a long way Especially during this "Diesel recession" thats beginning to kick off.
These are all great questions. I'm not a chemist... No idea!
A cracked piston always caused by bad injector ( leaking ). I have seen people use used oil it causes the injectors to leak due to the soot in the oil. Not a good an idea for long term .
I have probably done$10,000 worth of damage... But how often could you replace injectors if you never had to pay for fuel? 🤷
Great video, helped a lot. Thank you. However, I found that going through the wheel well was considerably easier. I also found the Torque Specs. 20Nm, 177In Lbs or 14.75 Ft Lbs
Great tip!
What ever you do, don't add gasoline to the mixture. Gasoline is a light petroleum product which flashes too quickly when injected, try thining out the WMO with Kerosene or diesel as they won't pre-detonate like gasoline does. By adding any amount of gasoline your lowering the "Flash Point" of the fuel mixture which is really bad for diesel engines. Aloha....................
Let's talk about this. They are both petroleum products. Used oil certainly can't have the same flash point as diesel fuel can it? I hypothesize that adding the gasoline just changes the flashing of the oil to hopefully be closer to that of diesel fuel. Also, in the concentrations that are injected, it is not likely to reach the needed "low density limit" for combustion, if it did separate. I have never heard any pinging. I don't think that I have a predetination problem. 🤷
@@Brandonlexx1 If anything gasoline is designed to resist compression ignition so too much in the mix will cause it to cough and sputter like a very cold motor because it is not able to ignite all the fuel. The oil and diesel both are "designed to" or ignite well via compression/heat so there shouldnt be any appreciable delay in ignition timing after injection between the two. I would be curious to see what the build up on the pistons looks like if you run waste oil as a "Lubrication additive" say 25% or less of total fuel volume with the remainder being diesel. I know several folks with older diesels that have run that way for years with no loss of performance or damage to the engines.
@@danielh4995 I am going to have to disagree. Gasoline is significantly more susceptible to combustion under heat and pressure than is diesel. This is the reason why diesel engines have higher compression ratios. Also why we have high octane fuels. The higher the octane, the more stable and less susceptible to combustion or predetination. Hope that makes sense.
Great video! Thanks for posting!
You bet!
Where r u located
Northern Utah
Thanks bud I had a EGR code so I cleaned it and the next step would’ve been replacing the intake manifold it turned out my sensor was bad, but still found the same problem I love UA-cam
That's why we're here! Glad It helped.
What was the time to replace it
Probably about an hour with the struggles!
Loved the vid. To the point, no extra commentary. Seems to good to be true.. But thanks for causing me to look into it. I will do, if legit. All the best.
It has come with some struggles but definitely real!
How many miles have you been running the black diesel in the 60
I probably ran 5000 miles. Burned a hole in a piston. Just got it back on the road. Will post am update soon.
Wouldnt you be better off diluting the used oil with diesel fuel?
It's more about changing the viscosity to be more like Diesel fuel than anything else. Take a lot more diesel.
Good work. You've pretty much shown us the additional filtering needed with the oem filters plugging so quickly. Another thing I have seen is that when using gas, it's been shown to evaporate after the engine is shut off, and form wax deposits in/on the injectors etc. So guys either go with a two tank system to shut down on pure diesel to prevent, or just cut with diesel instead of gas.
All trial and error! Hope to get it all figured out.
I had the same thing repaired just today.
Great video! Can't wait to watch it a couple more times then do mine! Thank you for being thorough! :)
Hopefully you got it taken care of!
Smitty have you seen any of CUTTERUP ROB 's video on WMO/Black Diesel? He has really good info on filtering and ratios for gas to oil. He's been going it for a long time. Even though he's a Cummins guy he talks about Fords a little. If he's not sure about specific engine running WMO he knows a lot of other guys running it in other engine that may help.
I'll check it out! Thanks
When I hit the button to roll down the window, I only hear a click…. No movement. The window is up… and won’t roll down.. all I hear is a click, like a relay sound… any suggestions?
I'd pull the door panel and see if you have power to the regulator. Work backwards from there if not.
Can you use the motor from a front window for the back window?
I have no idea. Sorry.
Same noise almost sounds like a supercharger whining
I can see that.
awesome work
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video!!! You should add another 10% of gas and let it sit for at least 2weeks after mixing well😊
Great advise! Thanks
